Founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, arrived Nigeria yesterday – his first visit to the sub-Saharan Africa trip.
On his arrival, he visited Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) in Yaba, Lagos and Andela‘s. Documenting Mark’s surprise trip to Nigeria, the father of one had a quick jog across the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge with entrepreneurs in the Lagos Road Warriors running club.
“Best way to see a city,” he posted on a Facebook Page.
Hours later he had a Question and Answer session with more than a handful of Tech Developers and Entrepreneurs in Lagos.
During the session, Mark commended the energy of the Nigerian entrepreneurs. “The first thing that struck me about Nigeria is the energy – the entrepreneurial energy,” he said.
After the meeting with tech developers and entrepreneurs, Mark met with Nollywood actors and celebrities and posted a photo the celebrities with the caption: “Visited Nollywood, crashed a hip-hop music video, and met some of Nigeria’s biggest stars”.
Present at the event were Basketmouth, Kunle Afolayan, DJ Cuppy, Toolz Oniru-Demuren, Chidinma, Stephanie Linus, Richard Mofe Damijo, Rita Dominic, Yemi Alade, and much more.
